So here's the thing yáll: I've been doing this work—building people power, mapping legislative strategy, coaching mission-driven leaders—for two decades now. And somewhere along the way, I realized I've got stories, lessons, and frameworks that shouldn't just live in one-on-one coaching sessions or campaign war rooms.

They need to be out in the world. Accessible. Free. Available to every organizer, executive director, union leader, and advocacy professional who's trying to build power while still living a fully joyous, delicious life!

That's why I launched Social Justice Is Sexy on YouTube.

What You'll Find on My New Channel

Obviously if you know me and OBVIOUSLY with a name like Social Justice Is Sexy, then you already know this isn't your typical leadership development content. You know I'm not about that corporate energy or that safe, wonky, respectable energy either. Instead, you'll get real, honest, vulnerable talk about:

• Self-care practices that actually sustain you through campaign cycles, organizational crises, and zombie bitches tryna tear you down internally and externally.

• How to build individual and collective power without burning out or burning bridges

• Creating values-rooted systems in your nonprofit, union, foundation, or government department that enable inclusive leadership and bring out the best in your unique team

• Getting bags and building abundance in mission-driven work (Cha-Ching, Baby!)

• Current and past campaigns that moved us forward—and what we can learn from them to live and organize with more vim, vigor and strategy now and in the future.

  
  

Because here's what's up: When we live and act according to our values, that is sexy, bold, and powerful.  When people feel safe and supported on the individual and societal level, it opens up space for the oppressed to create, to transform, to thrive, to be our most full, unapologetic, visionary, juicy selves. 

The work of building a better world? That's beautiful. Strategic. Creative. And it deserves to be treated as such. Don't you agree?

And please allow me to clarify - someone doesn’t have to think of themselves or even be considered a “sexy” person to join me. But they gotta understand that the work of getting us all more free, and our vision for a more free and equitable world - THAT’S SEXY… that inspires in us the desire to create…that work, that vision is attractive, interesting, and appealing!  You feel me?
