Whether you're an organizer, organizing director, or executive director,  all too often naturally talented people are promoted to positions of leadership in social justice organizations and expected to manifest campaigns and mobilize hundreds to thousands of people and dollars without having gone through any strategic planning training or supported with executive decision-making coaching.  As a result, well meaning leaders often burn out fast, find themselves leading without confidence, often struggle with building team morale, directing campaigns or making significant wins.

In this interactive and exciting online crash course, directors and aspiring directors will learn about power and the collective processes of power mapping and power analysis. Participants will get practice time to start creating or sharpen a current power map of their own choice, as long as it is relevant for their organization, a campaign influencer, or campaign target. 

Nikki M.G. will teach and share the most effective tools and collective practices she's used repeatedly to guide her and numerous groups to confidently develop, communicate, and manage transformational social and economic justice campaigns in the 21st century.

Nikki has over 15 years of experience building values-based coalitions, developing winning campaign strategies, and implementing complex policy and electoral campaigns.

Nikki led DC's Paid Sick Days, Minimum Wage, and Wage Theft Prevention Legislative and Implementation Campaigns from 2009 - 2016. Between 2017 - 2023, Nikki developed and implemented both local and national campaign strategies for the Real Meals Campaign, One Fair Wage, Bargaining for the Common Good and more. 

Nikki has served on the kitchen cabinets of 5 democratic candidates, coordinated 80 grassroots candidates to run on progressive democratic slates in the DC Metropolitan area, and co-managed the mobilization of 50,000 first-time voters in battleground states in the 2020 presidential election.
